Thanks to grant funding from MDHHS’s Tobacco Control Program, HBOM and the Michigan Tobacco Quitlink are offering a free Toolkit to healthcare practices across Michigan. This HBOM-designed toolkit includes practical, ready-to-use resources that make it easier to start tobacco cessation conversations and connect patients with evidence-based support.

Catch up with our 2022 Summer Collaborative Meeting video
The Healthy Behavior Optimization for Michigan (HBOM) program held its first summer collaborative meeting on June 21, 2022. HBOM invited representatives from our 9+ partnering Michigan CQIs in a virtual conversation on tobacco cessation value-based reimbursement strategies and implementation across the State of Michigan. We were joined by invited guest Alisha Lussiez, MD, from the department of surgery at the University of Michigan. Dr. Lussiez is a key player in a tobacco cessation screening and referral service that has been implemented as part of the pre-operative consultation process at Michigan Medicine.
