Equipment

  • 1 Slow cooker / Crock Pot
  • 1 Medium bowl
  • 1 Mixing spoon

Ingredients
  

  • 3 LB Boneless pork shoulder
  • 2 tsp Ground cumin
  • 2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 tsp Onion powder
  • 2 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 1.5 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 cup Stock
  • 12 oz Diet Coke/Soda Optional

Instructions
 

  • Add pork shoulder to slow-cooker.
  • In a medium bowl, combine cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper and olive oil until it comes together into a thick paste. Spread it all over the pork shoulder. Let sit for 10-15 min.
  • Pour the stock and diet Coke into the crockpot and place marinated pork shoulder gently inside.
  • Cook on high heat setting for 5-6 hrs until fork tender.
  • When ready, shred the pork shoulder apart with two forks and serve. Goes well with cauliflower mac and cheese and a side of vegetables!
